TAKE ACTION AND GET INVOLVED!

Join the party and help spread the 'stupid cancer' gospel around town. Make friends, hang out, plan fun things and actually change the world a little bit. Seriously. You see, we believe that cancer advocacy means making sure the next "you" doesn't necessarily have to go through all the crap you went through. It's actually that simple. So let us help you help us help you make all that stuff happen right now. Yes, right now. Welcome aboard!

We're buildling the largest global support community for young adults affected by cancer. Now who doesn't want to be a part of that? The challenge? That no young adult goes unaware of the wealth of support, community and resources that are available to them. Help us ensure the next "you" doesn't have to go through the same crap you did. (We're doing that right now!)

Stupid Cancer Happy Hour
The Stupid Cancer Happy Hour is our signature community outreach, awareness and peer support program. (It's the only happy hour you'll ever go to where everyone is actually happy to be there.) Since 2007, we've hosted over 400 of these or similar themed events worldwide.

Alternate "Stupid Cancer" community programs that we've hosted include: film screenings, book signings, tweetups, bowling nights, scavenger hunts, golf outings, bar crawls, weekend retreats, roofdeck parties, wine and cheese events, BBQ fundraisers, Halloween costume balls and more.

You see, we don't typically do relays for living stronger, races for fairy dust cures, riding for rose petals, 5K saunters for research, or team trainings. But when we do, it's not for the "cure". It's to help young adults fight cancer and get busy living. With us, it's just you, your friends, possibly a few awkward co-workers, some booze (for the 21+ events), great music and good old stupid cancer. (Pole dancing, karaoke and flaming shots optional.) But in all seriousness, it's about hanging out with people who "get you" and who won't pity you for being 40 years younger than them.

No pressure. No judgements. No white walls. No sitting around in a circle sharing your feelings. No Kumbaya. Wear anything you want. Bring anyone you want. Make it about you, your community and just have fun getting busy living with no strings attached.

Help raise awareness that young adults can and do get cancer and fundraise within your community! Host a fundraiser, bar crawl, bake sale, race or be creative, like with any of the "Stupid Cancer" events listed above. Please contact Stacey Owens, our Director of Volunteer Management.
